A man in a blood red robe (from the Esoteric Order of the Celestial Dragon) with darkness covering every inch of his face that should be visible. He is initially referred to as the third time traveler. His real identity is Jornak Dokochin. He has a loose allegiance with the invaders and Quatach-Ichl, the lich. He was feeding information to the invaders before the removal of aranea, but stopped doing so after. Zorian assumed that was because because any further knowledge gained would be useless, as the aranea would still be present outside of the loop.

He is one of the causes for Zach's amnesia and probably the most knowledgeable person when it comes to the workings of the loop, being believed to have learned Zach's secrets before selectively wiping Zach's memory and tying himself into the loop.

He knows the spells aegis, simulacrum, the gate spell, and unstructured mind magic.

Attack on Zach

After the aranea in Cyoria disrupt the invasion particularly badly in one restart (and possibly hint at their existence, though this is not shown), Red Robe shows up at Zach's house during the invasion together with Quatach-Ichl and a vampire, and, after Quatach-Ichl subdues Zach, reads Zach's memories.

Aranea removal

Having learned that Zach believes in aranea time travelers, Red Robe teleports away. Zorian uses a telepathic relay to watch from the Spear of Resolve's point of view. Zorian seen many aranea killed, and eventually the connection is severed, indicating that Spear of Resolve has been killed. In the next restart, when Zorian gets to the aranea settlement as soon as practical, he finds all female (sapient) aranea dead.

Attack on Zorian

Red Robe teleports in soon after that and boasts that the aranea are dead "permanently". He then corners Zorian and attempts to interrogate him with Mind magic, but Zorian counter-attacks mentally and manages to jump into a unknown shaft with a deadly lake and kill himself before Red Robe could catch up.

Zach and Zorian find that he has escaped the loop via the Sovereign Gate.

Outside the time loop, Red Robe successfully pressures Zach, Zorian, Xvim and Alanic to agree to a truce by threatening to have dragons attack Eldemar as well as to detonate Sudomir-designed wraith bombs in Sulamnon and elsewhere.

He is dead after the summer festival, since he is implied in chapters 89 and 90 to have made a death pact with Panaxeth (confirmed in chapter 106) whose terms he failed to fulfill.
