Silverlake is a witch who dwells in the wilderness. Powerful. Spry, pitch-black hair, brown dress. Potions expert. Not tactful, not easily offended.[1] Wants eggs of a grey hunter in return for her aid. She is also good at dimensionalism (uses a pocket dimension to conceal her home[2] and expands her pockets[3]).
She wants the eggs of a grey hunter and the corpse of a giant brown salamander to create a potion of eternal youth to complement her longevity[2].
She uses modern alchemy to complement her potion making.[2]
In the restart where Zorian first meets Silverlake, Zorian finds a suitable salamander, and Silverlake eventually sends him to get grey hunter eggs[1], without telling him why.
In a much later restart, she teaches Zorian and Zach pocket dimension creation and brews[4] a soul perception potion for Zorian, in exchange for corpses of a giant brown salamander and a grey hunter, Zorian's version of the dimensional gate spell and permission to study the imperial orb[2]. In the subsequent restart, she makes a guess that the time loop is inside a primordial[5]. Receives a temporary marker[6] (allowing to keep memories for six restarts) and helps Zach and Zorian to devise a way to exit the time loop until making a death pact with Panaxeth and exiting the time loop[7]. She is the only temporary looper created by Zach and Zorian who exited the loop. The time loop copy participates in battle in the invaders' side. It is implied in the story[8] that she was indeed eaten by a grey hunter brought by Zorian with the help of the original Silverlake (old one, not the copy from the time loop which is in a young body)[9].
