Little girl who recently moved to Cyoria with her family. Originally Zorian met her before he become a time traveler when he helped her get her bicycle from the river[1]. He didn't see her again[note 1] until he returned to Cyoria after being gone for a year and a half because of the Red Robe incident. This time he had his sister, Kirielle, with him, and Kirielle and Nochka became friends.
Nochka is eventually revealed to be a cat shifter. This is foreshadowed by a scene in chapter 11, where Zorian meets a "small-ish cat" at the same spot where he met Nochka in one of the previous loop iterations. Presumably the cat is actually Nochka, though this is not stated.
Nochka is kidnapped for sacrifice to release Panaxeth in many iterations of the time loop[2][3].
Trivia[]
"Nochka" is a diminutive of "night" in Serbo-Croatian. The word is the same in many other Slavic languages.
